2025 End of year reflections
🩺 A Year of Growth, Grit, and Gratitude: Reflections for the Healthcare Intrapreneur
End-of-Year Newsletter | A Doctor’s Journey
As the year comes to a close, I’ve found myself in an intentional pause—one that many of us in healthcare rarely allow ourselves to take. But reflection is essential. It’s where meaning meets progress, and where clarity for the road ahead begins.
This past year has been one of growth, resilience, and transformation—both professionally and personally. And I share this reflection not just as a personal journal entry, but as an invitation to you, my fellow physicians, healthcare professionals, and aspiring intrapreneurs, to do the same.
🚀
Breaking Ground in Digital Health & Intrapreneurship
At the start of the year, I set a bold intention: to step into the world of digital health consulting. I’m proud to say that goal materialized through collaborations with QuickBlocks and Mariana AI. Though not every partnership lasted, each experience offered critical lessons in resilience, adaptability, and value creation—core qualities for any intrapreneur.
Completing my MBA this year was another pivotal milestone—one that not only expanded my skillset but opened the door to entrepreneurial ventures like Startified, a mission-driven startup designed to support emerging healthcare founders.
My work with the Physician Entrepreneur Exchange (PEX) tested my commitment. At times, I questioned my role. But staying the course reminded me that perseverance builds stronger teams and lasting impact.
New collaborations with Your Path in Medicine (YPIM), ongoing partnerships with USACS, and expanding clinical roles through OSCAR and OpenLoop added new dimensions to my portfolio—broadening both income streams and influence.

👨👩👧👦
Family, Faith & Personal Foundations
While professional milestones shaped the year, so did deeply personal moments—some filled with joy, others with challenge.
From my daughter’s quinceañera and confirmation to family trips across Hawaii, New York, Washington, and Italy, these experiences reminded me of what truly matters: connection, presence, and gratitude.
At the same time, we navigated family health concerns and relationship trials. These moments demanded emotional resilience—and reaffirmed that our personal foundations are what sustain us in times of stress and success alike.

🧘🏽♂️
Reinforcing the Interior Pillar: Mindfulness & Well-Being
This year, I made progress in cultivating my interior pillar—through Yoga Nidra, meditation, and Positive Intelligence (PQ) practices. While consistency is still a work in progress, these tools have been powerful anchors during turbulent times.
In the coming year, I aim to bring more structure to my mindfulness routine—particularly in the evenings, when many healthcare professionals, myself included, feel the weight of decision fatigue. Self-care isn’t optional—it’s our fuel.

🥗
Health & Nutrition: A Candid Look
Like many of you, my health journey has had its highs and lows. Nutrition and weight management remain areas of opportunity. And yet, there’s no shame in the process—only lessons.
As caregivers, we often put ourselves last. But we must remember: we can’t pour from an empty cup. In 2026, I’m setting clearer intentions around physical health—because wellness is foundational to our longevity and leadership.

💬
Relationships, Networks, and “Circles of Genius”
My relationships—both personal and professional—are what energize and sustain me. This year, I made space for “Daddy-Daughter Days,” date nights, and mentorship through organizations like the National Hispanic Medical Association and InnovatorMD.
Building and maintaining a Circle of Genius—a community of peers who challenge and uplift you—has been transformational. I plan to continue nurturing these ties, and perhaps expand into church-based service or Knights of Columbus efforts as part of a more holistic legacy.

💼
Financial Growth & Strategic Planning
Financial health was another area of meaningful progress. Business and contractor income grew, and I began laying the groundwork for smarter wealth management—planning to pay down debt, fine-tune 529 contributions, and maximize tax-advantaged investments.
Looking ahead, I’ll continue focusing on diversified revenue streams, a critical strategy for any physician looking to balance impact with independence.

🌱
Legacy & Long-Term Vision
At the heart of it all is a simple but powerful question: What am I building—not just for today, but for the future?
My legacy begins at home—with my wife, daughters, and extended family—but extends into the work I do: supporting physicians, uplifting entrepreneurs, and creating ecosystems for meaningful innovation.
It’s not about fame or fortune. It’s about service. Purpose. Making your journey count.

🔮
Looking Ahead: 2026 Intentions
So as we stand on the edge of a new year, I offer these reflections as both a personal narrative and a shared roadmap. If you’re a healthcare professional considering intrapreneurship, exploring digital health, or simply seeking greater alignment in your life…
Here’s my invitation:
Reflect intentionally – Your growth is worth acknowledging.
Celebrate your wins – No matter how small.
Learn from your setbacks – They hold your deepest wisdom.
Set clear, purpose-driven intentions– And revisit them often.

Together, we are building more than careers. We’re shaping a new era in healthcare—one rooted in purpose, connection, and sustainable innovation.
Wishing you a joyful, fulfilling, and impact-driven year ahead. Let's Growth Together
With gratitude and purpose,
